Show cooking time with GreenCook Dutch Ambassadors (Living Lab Restaurants)

At the occasion of October CoP (Communities of Practice) meetings, GreenCook partners experienced a brilliant demonstration from Dutch Ambassadors accompanied by De Proeftuinen.

Ambassadors, who are they?

Ambassadors are professionals from the out-of-home sector, for example chefs and/or owners of a restaurant, catering company or a care facility.

He or she is aware of the external aspects such as sustainability, (reducing) food waste, energy and social aspects that affect his or her business. Being aware of those aspects and willing to make a change are the essential ingredients to participate in the project. The aim is to gather twelve enthusiastic out-of-home professionals, whom will be working on the Green Cook objectives during two years from now. Beside of inspiring company / producer visits and lectures, which are available for broad public, the twelve ambassadors will follow an online training which enables them to reach their personal objectives, provide easy tips & tools and exchange of knownledge between the ambassadors. The ambassadorship is charactarized in being a host for a meeting/lecture during the project and afterwards to encourage colleagues to adapt the project objectives.

The following chefs and entrepreneurs are already enthusiastic:

Willem Zwaart - Restaurant Ratatouille Peter Gast - Restaurant ’t Schulten Hues Johan Verbon - Sodexo Willem ter Voert - Het Restaurant

This show cooking session was a real opportunity for GreenCook partners to discover how to implement saving tips in daily cooking, but also to realise how relevant, active and strong the Dutch GreenCook restaurant network is.

Congratulations again to all committed Ambassadors!
